'We love Whitby and the cottage was
by far the best we have stayed in. The decor, facilities and attention to
detail were all excellent' Mr
and Mrs S, Bewdley
Monkshaven Cottage is a newly refurbished cottage, with lots of character, built amongst old fisherman's cottages in the yard next to the historic White Horse and Griffin coaching inn. The cottage is deceptively spacious and has lots of storage space.
The yard right in front of the cottage is your private parking space. The yard entrance is 2 metres (6 foot 6") wide so check your car's width!
From the
yard you enter a porch then in to the large lounge with leather sofas and a TV
with Sky and DVD. The lounge is
beamed and has feature exposed brickwork.
From the lounge there are 5 steps down to the newly fitted
luxury kitchen and dining room. The staircase from the lounge leads up to 2
bedrooms, one double and one twin, both rooms have good quality beds and TVs and
DVD players.
There is a pretty, spacious bathroom with wc, basin, roll top bath and shower
cubicle .
'Thank you so much
for sharing your beautiful cottage. We hope to return soon and will recommend
to family and friends.
Been coming to Whitby for many years and this is the nicest cottage we have
stayed in.' Mr and Mrs R,
Sheffield

Even with a car parked, the yard has room for you to sit out in and is a bit of
a suntrap.
Your well behaved dog is welcome and stays free of charge. No smoking in the
cottage.
Monkshaven Cottage is set in the bustling heart of the old town in a quieter yard
off of the cobbled street that leads to the abbey steps.
The cottage has been refurbished to modern insulation standards and with its gas central heating it is warm and comfortable all year round.
'We couldn't have
asked for a better base to visit other places.' Mr
and Mrs E, Bolton
