Completely refurbished for 2012, this cottage is
very different to our other properties. It is set right on the river side at
Ruswarp, 4 miles from Whitby.
Chain Bridge Cottage is a detached 2 bedroomed property with amazing views up
and down the river Esk. It has ample parking for 2 cars and a decked seating
area where you can enjoy a meal or a drink while you watch the boats and birds
on the river. Prices are from £395 to £725 per week inclusive.

Access to the cottage is down a very private lane which offers good
dog walks along the river side. The train track in front of the cottage gives
you close up views of the steam trains which run into Whitby, there is an
unmanned crossing over the railway line so be aware of this as well as the
position of the river if you are bringing children.
The village of Ruswarp has a pub serving good food and decent shops
including an excellent butchers. Ruswarp is a tourist destination itself and you
can hire rowing boats or canoes, there is a tearoom with outside seating next to
the river and there are some good walks from your door. You can drive into
Whitby in less than 10 minutes or there is a good bus service.

Downstairs the accommodation consists of a well equipped kitchen with
a dishwasher. There is a through lounge with dining area and a window seat.
Upstairs is a double bedroom with ensuite shower room and wc, a twin
bedroom and a family bathroom. Heating throughout is from electric panel
heaters.
Outside there is parking space for 2 cars, a small enclosed garden and a
decked patio with garden furniture. Towels are provided at this cottage.
You are welcome to bring your well behaved dog on the condition that you clean up completely inside and outside the cottage removing any traces of your pet's stay.
