Eskside Cottage, Ruswarp near Whitby
“An enjoyable break” We had two dogs with us and available self catering accommodation was limited so were very pleased to find Eskside Cottage which met our needs. The weather was beautiful during our stay which only enhanced the wonderful landscapes. The close proximity to Whitby making it within walking distance. We would recommend to a friend. Sept 2016

Hundale Barn, Cloughton
“Lovely place to stay” and great location for visiting Robin hoods bay, Whitby and Scarborough. all four of us and the two dogs loved staying here and with a great pub over the road full of friendly people and about 5 other pubs with great food near by we just stayed around the cottage in the evenings. thanks for all the treats and walk in wardrobe and double bath as well as a big kitchen and a nice fire place was a great addition. also TV and stereo very useful. i say 5 out of 5 for everything the only niggle was i didnt get on with the frying pan lol it did stick abit but might just be my bad cooking. thanks for a great stay will hopefully be back! also for anyone with dogs nice walk near the cottage with access to the old railway line and nice views from the coastal path. also owner very friendly and helpful! cheers. “Ideal cottage and location” We were absolutely delighted with this cottage. We are a couple and my widowed sister and our two mini Schnauzers. Having two ensuite bedrooms is perfect and the enclosed courtyard, whilst small, was perfectly big enough and secure enough to leave the doors open so the dogs could come and go as they pleased. We can highly recommend the Red Lion, the Hayburn Wyke Inn and the Station tearooms. Next time we are wanting to visit this region we will definitely book Hundale Barn. We loved walking on the Trackway either to the Hayburn Wyke for lunch or the Station tearoom for morning coffee. Paul was very friendly and helpful. May 2017

“Very relaxing stay.”A very warm and welcoming place awaited us on arrival with all the homely touches you could wish for. The location is perfect access for walking and easy access to Whitby or Scarborough by car. There are also plenty of friendly pubs in a very close proximity. The holiday cottage is great for taking a dog or children with the fenced area outside. Plus those good walks to great pubs like the Hayburn Wyke Inn. Our stay was made comfortable because the cottage is so homely and comfortable. Oct 2016

Thornaby Cottage, Whitby
“Great central location” Enjoyable 3-night stay. The cottage’s central location yards from a shopping street meant we were handy for shops, West Cliff, beach, the pier, and also the old town and the abbey. Website does not say there is a shower and was pleased to discover there is one! Comfortable accommodation. Generally clean. Beds are good. Private parking useful. Owner and Whitby Cottages easy to communicate with and open to feedback. Was not clear on website that dogs not allowed upstairs and must be left in kitchen at night or when out. May 2017
Enjoyed every minute, dogs loved it (very well behaved!!)

“Nice cottage in central Whitby.” We have stayed in several different cottages via whitby cottages and they have all been clean, well equipped and central in Whitby. Being in the town centre where there is a lot going on yet being a quiet location with no noise from revellers at night. May 2017

Cuddy Cottage Whitby
Here for Folk Week. Cottage within walking distance of all venues. Also close to shops, restaurants and pubs. August 2017
Great communication from the onset of booking. Really good idea to post keys with guide on parking and how to find the cottage. If you like burgers then Burgsy is a must, if you cross the swing bridge to the dolphin pub then turn right and follow the street it is on your left. Open 12pm – 9pm and you wont be disappointed. Want a quiet drink without all the hustle and bustle then head to Middle Earth on church street, it is on the way back to the cottage and has plenty of outdoor seating, great when you have your dog with you and the sun is shining (dogs are also allowed inside). Rated 5* August 2017
“Ideal base for exploring Whitby”. We are a mother and adult daughter who have a few days each year on the North-east coast. As we don’t have our own transport we need a property that allows us to have plenty to do on foot. We have been to Whitby several times so were aware of where the property was located and were pleased to find it was exactly as we imagined it from the information and photos on the web site. It was quiet and cosey and it was nice that we were sent a key in advance and things were ready and waiting for us to make tea on arrival. Also useful items were provided. July 2017
“Nice little cottage very good value for money”We enjoyed our stay very much. Whitby is a very lovely place to stay for a short break April 2017
“I had a lovely week in Cuddy Cottage”. What a delightful little property. It is one of the best self catering I have ever rented. It is so clean and well laid out. J.W.

“Great for dog owners!” We were very pleased with this cottage. It has a little grass area which was so nice for us and our dog! The cottage was very comfortable and in a quiet area. Great off the lead walk along to the abbey too…We will definitely stay here again. The cottage was spacious enough for 4 adults… a little area to sit and dine in the kitchen as well as a cosy lounge. A good selection of DVDS were available for those rainy days! May 2017
